Despite the fact that resources allocated to the police force to carry out their functions effectively, the police have not been able to deliver professional and worthwhile results.Consequent upon this, the paper investigated the challenges facing the Nigeria police force in promoting security in Nigeria.The paper adopted qualitative research method with the application of the constructive theory for better explanation of issues relating to the COCONUT MARINADE security in Nigeria.

Findings of the research work revealed that the Nigeria Police Force do not possess adequate new technologies and enough ammunition cum the inadequate remuneration and benefits payment of police officers.The study recommends that procurement of advanced technologies, ammunition and discipline for the purpose of promoting security in Nigeria.
